SpaceX’s second quarterly report since going public—and it turned a profit for the first time: revenue of $14.6 billion, up 161% year over year. But more importantly, here’s what Musk said on the earnings call 👇👇
He revealed that Tesla and SpaceX have formed special committees made up of independent directors to evaluate a merger. He also said that on Tesla’s side, the deal would need approval from more than half of all shares—a pretty high bar.
Musk owns about 20% of Tesla, so he would need to secure roughly another 30% of shares voting in favor for the merger to pass.
RBC analysts offered a more straightforward figure: Tesla on its own is worth about $435 per share; including the merger expectations, the price target is $480. That $45 difference is the premium the market is assigning to the merger.
What we can say for sure is that the merger is no longer just a rumor—it has entered the formal process. Whether it ultimately goes through will depend on whether Musk can persuade the other 30% of shareholders.
A major divide has emerged on Wall Street over the memory chip trade❗️❗️Cathie Wood is bullish on memory chips and adding to her positions, while Bank of America warns it’s not yet time to buy the dip in risk assets
Cathie Wood recently said memory chips have entered a buy zone. Her reasoning: “The sharp rise in memory prices and steep drop in sales of electronic devices are already reflected in stock prices.”
She has also been adjusting her portfolio accordingly. Yesterday, ARK Invest bought 132,498 shares of CoreWeave, worth about $8.1 million, while selling 18,349 shares of Palantir. Within the AI sector, she chose to buy into computing infrastructure on a pullback while trimming some software stocks.
Meanwhile, Michael Hartnett, chief investment strategist at BofA Global Research, said that the end of sell signals does not mean it’s time to buy. The two conditions for returning to risk assets “have not yet been met.”
Both are influential figures. “Cathie Wood” is the founder of ARK Invest and one of Wall Street’s best-known contrarian investors, with a “buy what others shun” approach. In 2020, she made her name with a large bet on Tesla. This time, she has her eye on South Korean memory stocks and AI computing power.
The “Bull & Bear Indicator” devised by Hartnett is one of Wall Street’s most closely watched contrarian market-timing tools. In May 2026, after the indicator flashed a sell signal, global stock markets fell for the next three months. Now, one of Wall Street’s best-known buy-side investors and one of its top sell-side strategists are once again at odds: one has already started buying the dip, while the other is urging investors to remain defensive.#木头姐 #华尔街
Sun Yuchen’s latest in-depth interview got a huge response, but after watching it, I was most curious about the host. So I looked up his background 🧐🧐
That’s when I found out he also did the interview with Shenyu a few months ago—the only in-depth conversation Shenyu has given in nearly a decade.
His name is Jin Ming William Joy, and people in the industry also call him “Xiandao.” He keeps a low profile and apparently doesn’t even have an X account, but his résumé looks almost unbelievable at first glance:
- A competitive freediver. Some profiles say he was a member of the national team, won a world championship, and set multiple world and national records. - He started his first business as a student and was part of Harvard’s startup scene. In 2014, he founded Video++/Jilian Technology. Two funding rounds in 2018 raised a total of around RMB 1.07 billion, with investors including Alibaba, Yunfeng Capital, and Megvii. - A member of the fourth cohort at Hupan University. - Says he has held $TSLA since 2010. - At the helm of the 908HOLDING family office. Just a few days ago, he placed third in the Token2049 Coinbase Global Trading Competition—the highest-ranked Asian and the only medalist on Team China.
Sports, entrepreneurship, investing, and crypto—he’s thriving in every field. Is this what a max-level human looks like?
#特斯拉 The Roadster took flight, but Tesla’s stock didn’t follow.
On the first trading day after the demonstration, Tesla opened higher but fell as the day went on, ultimately closing down about 2.13%. It seems that no matter how thrilling the demo was, it couldn’t answer the three questions investors care most about: When will production begin? How many units can it sell? How much money can it make?
The market has already been waiting too long for the next-generation Roadster: it was unveiled in 2017, and now its production target is set for 2028. Even if deliveries are successful, how much profit an expensive sports car can contribute to Tesla remains an open question.
Another thing worth watching is SpaceX’s role behind the scenes. The cold-gas thrusters and high-pressure storage system showcased this time rely on core technologies from SpaceX. In other words, without SpaceX, Tesla couldn’t take flight.
This has once again fueled speculation about whether the two companies might merge. If it comes to that, the valuation and terms of any stock swap will be what matter to investors’ wallets.
#KimiK3 These past couple of days, people have been discussing Chen Guangyu, the 17-year-old prodigy who used to work at Kimi. Yesterday, he officially announced that he was leaving Kimi. A year ago, Moonshot AI brought him onto its core team, and he was a co-first author of the paper “Attention Residuals.” The paper proposed an improved approach to residual connections and even earned public praise from Elon Musk. It also provides important theoretical support for the Kimi K3 model.
What’s even more surprising is that he only started learning about machine learning in 2024. Before long, he had gone from just learning about Transformers to becoming an author of papers on cutting-edge architectures.
Judging by what he wrote, his departure from Kimi seems to have been amicable and on good terms. He did say he’s heading to Silicon Valley, though—it’s unclear whether he’s going there to study or start a company 🤔🤔

#Anthropic招股书或估值超2万亿美元 Anthropic revealed today that its third-quarter revenue reached $16.8 billion❗️❗️—about 3.6 times SpaceX’s quarterly revenue disclosed ahead of its IPO. Is it really set to surpass SpaceX and become the largest IPO in history?
On one hand, the market remains wary of the AI boom; on the other, Anthropic is presenting growth figures to build support for its IPO.
According to information it shared with investors, third-quarter revenue rose from $11.5 billion in the second quarter to $16.8 billion, an increase of about 46% quarter over quarter. The company also said it has become profitable.
For comparison, SpaceX’s revenue in Q1 2026—also its highest quarterly revenue before going public—was only $4.694 billion, while Anthropic’s current revenue is about 3.6 times that amount. SpaceX was valued at about $1.77 trillion at its IPO, while Anthropic’s current private-market valuation is about $193 million.
#9月CPI来袭原油美债走势如何 The worst-case scenario has come true 😭😭 Today’s CPI report has me genuinely a little panicked. The U.S. might end up raising rates twice more this year!!! Bitcoin was spooked and plunged 😨📉
The key figure this time, core CPI, came in at 0.3% month over month, above the 0.2% expected; year over year, it was 2.6%, also above the 2.5% expected. In other words, inflationary pressure can’t be blamed entirely on energy.
Next, we’ll have to see whether oil prices keep rising. If they do, that will intensify inflationary pressure and increase the likelihood of rate hikes. Also, if the yield on two-year U.S. Treasuries keeps climbing, it means the market’s expectations of rate hikes are rising.

#9月CPI来袭原油美债走势如何 Tonight's CPI: I'm mainly watching one chain of transmission—crude oil affects inflation, Treasury yields reprice rate cuts, and BTC prices in the liquidity environment.
First, crude oil. Rising oil prices directly push up the energy component, but an oil-driven increase in headline CPI is not the same as persistently hot core inflation. The former depends on whether the rise in oil prices can continue; the latter is more likely to mean inflation remains sticky and rate cuts will have to wait longer. So tonight, don't just look at the year-over-year figure. Core CPI month over month, housing, and services are more worth breaking down❗️❗️
Next, Treasuries. The key is the two-year Treasury yield, which is usually more sensitive to expectations for policy rates. If CPI comes in hot and yields remain elevated after spiking, that suggests markets may be pushing rate-cut expectations further out, which is unfavorable for a BTC rebound. But if yields spike and then pull back, it suggests the bond market isn't continuing to buy the “higher for longer” narrative, and BTC's initial drop may not last.
The key is to see whether all three confirm one another:
1. Core inflation comes in cool (0.1% or lower) + the two-year yield falls + oil prices pull back: pressure from both inflation and interest rates eases, providing firmer macro support for a rebound.
2. Headline inflation comes in cool, but oil prices keep rising and yields refuse to fall: the latest data look good, but future inflation pressures haven't gone away. Don't rush to treat a single green candle as a trend.
3. Core inflation comes in hot (0.3% or higher) + yields rise: rate-cut expectations come under pressure. Even if BTC rallies briefly, be wary that the move may lack staying power.

Looks like Zuckerberg really did go all in on AI 🤔 After the failed attempt to acquire Manus, all of Meta’s bets were riding on Alexandr Wang. In a recent interview, Wang revealed that Meta’s CFO once pulled him aside during a vacation in Hawaii and repeatedly warned him: “If the AI models flop, Meta is finished!”
Thankfully, Muse ultimately delivered results, so old Zuck can probably breathe a little easier now.

#Ledger被盗 Another security incident involving a cold wallet—and this time, it’s Ledger... And the alleged mastermind may actually be a business owner from Heilongjiang??
Over the past few days, multiple Ledger users have had their wallets stolen, with total losses exceeding $86 million. In an official statement, Ledger pointed to a distributor named CryptoBilis.
According to reports, wallets sold by this distributor had been fitted with a suspicious module containing a SIM card chip, capable of transmitting users’ stolen recovery phrases. Further disclosures revealed that CryptoBilis is effectively controlled by an individual named JIAMING, whose registered address is in Heilongjiang Province, China. They have held 100% of CryptoBilis’ shares since August 3 🤯 This plot is just too surreal...

#链上期权 Yesterday, Hyperliquid founder Jeff made it clear at an event: the next big opportunity on-chain may be options.
After hearing that, I’d guess we’ll see a wave of decentralized options products emerge on-chain over the next six months.
A quick explainer for those who don’t trade U.S. stocks much:
An option is the right to buy or sell an asset at an agreed-upon price in the future, purchased by paying a premium.
You can use options to bet on price movements, or buy them as “insurance” for your spot or perpetual positions.
Options have long been a mature market in traditional finance, and there are related products in crypto too: Deribit has always been a core platform for crypto options liquidity, while Binance started building out its options business as early as 2020.
But on-chain options have yet to truly take off at scale. User experience, liquidity, margin efficiency, and the barriers to using strategies are all still wide open.
For context, in 2025, U.S.-listed options cleared around 15.2 billion contracts over the year, while Deribit’s total trading volume was about $1.875 trillion. On-chain options could very well become the next trillion-dollar on-chain trading sector.
