Due to the recent upgrade of regulations in mainland China, about 400,000 Bitcoin mining machines in Xinjiang, China have been shut down. I have never understood why, as a lot of the electrical resources in the Xinjiang region are wasted. Instead of letting this electricity go to waste, why not use it to mine for profit? It not only creates jobs but also promotes economic development. Why cling to a gold mine and beg for alms???
