Microsoft announced that new preview builds of Windows 11 are introducing 'agent functions' —
AI agents that work on behalf of the Administrator and can independently decide what to install on your computer.
🪟 By default, they will be disabled, but the mere fact of such functions appearing already raises serious questions.
Initially, agents were supposed to help the user...
But in fact - they can decide that some trojan from a suspicious site is a 'useful application'.
😐 Microsoft directly states:
Agents can accidentally download malicious software or even upload your personal files - from 'Documents', 'Downloads', and other directories.
🥷 The most frightening thing - a new wave of attacks called XPIA:
Malicious content within buttons, documents, or interfaces retrains the agent, making it:
• download viruses,
• give data to attackers,
• execute dangerous commands.
This 'agent Windows' is a new era.
Before, you had to miss and click on the trojan yourself...
And now Windows-agent can do this for you 😬
