Linea entered a new era of interoperability by integrating Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) — the most trusted cross-chain standard in Web3. Linea chose Chainlink CCIP as its interoperability backbone after evaluating multiple solutions. The decision came down to security, reliability, and real-world adoption — areas where Chainlink had already proved itself through years of securing tens of billions in DeFi assets and powering over $12 trillion in onchain transaction value.
CCIP stood out for its Level-5 cross-chain security, the highest recognized standard in the space, and for its Risk Management Network, an independent system continuously monitoring all cross-chain activities for anomalies or suspicious behavior.
