WCT Supports the Full-Link Traceability and Quality Control of Jiuzhitang Traditional Chinese Medicine Granules
In 2023, Jiuzhitang applied WCT technology to the production supply chain of traditional Chinese medicine granules, linking the entire process from raw material procurement to finished product sales. The origin of the raw materials (such as ginseng from Changbai Mountain in Jilin, and Fritillaria from Pan'an in Zhejiang), processing techniques (such as wine-fried and vinegar-fried parameters), and quality inspection reports (such as pesticide residues and heavy metal content) are all recorded in real-time on the chain; when medical institutions make purchases, they can verify the authenticity and traceability information of the granules by scanning a code. Jiuzhitang uses WCT to pay suppliers for raw materials, linking payment to the quality of the materials. By 2024, this system will cover over 80 core traditional Chinese medicine granules, resulting in a 92% reduction in complaint rates due to quality issues, and a 45% year-on-year increase in procurement volume by medical institutions, becoming a typical case of “traceability and authenticity” in the traditional Chinese medicine industry.
