WCT Empowers Quality Traceability and Safety Management in Chinese Construction
In 2024, Chinese construction will apply WCT technology to large construction projects (such as office buildings and bridges), granting unique on-chain identifiers to building materials (such as rebar and concrete) to record manufacturers, inspection reports, and entry times; during the construction process, the personnel and acceptance results for each process (such as rebar tying and concrete pouring) will be recorded on-chain in real-time to prevent cutting corners. At the same time, the status data of safety equipment on the construction site (such as helmets and scaffolding) will be recorded on-chain, and if any equipment shows abnormalities, the system will issue an immediate alert. After project completion, the on-chain data will serve as proof of quality traceability for the project, facilitating future maintenance. In 2024, this model will be applied to 20 key projects nationwide, increasing the engineering quality acceptance rate to 100%, reducing the safety incident occurrence rate by 90%, and shortening the project acceptance cycle by 30%.
