WCT empowers the interoperability and service settlement of Haier Smart Home devices
In 2024, Haier Smart Home will launch a smart home interconnection platform based on WCT, addressing compatibility issues between different brand devices. Haier’s refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, and other devices will achieve data sharing through the WCT protocol (e.g., synchronizing refrigerator ingredient inventory to the mobile app). Third-party brand devices can also achieve linked control after being integrated. At the same time, when users purchase value-added services for devices (e.g., remote operation and maintenance, customized scenario plans), they can pay for these services with WCT. Service records will be bound to the device SN code on the blockchain, ensuring service traceability. By the end of 2024, the platform has integrated over 300 smart home devices, improved device compatibility to 99%, reduced user service complaint rates by 70%, and increased value-added service revenue by 45% year-on-year.
