WCT Empowers China Electric Power Construction's Management and Quality Traceability of Large Hydropower Projects
China Electric Power Construction utilizes WCT technology to ensure project quality and schedule in a large hydropower project. The information of raw materials and equipment required for construction, such as cement, steel, and electromechanical equipment (manufacturer, quality inspection report, arrival time), is recorded on the blockchain. During the construction process, real-time blockchain records are maintained for key construction parameters (such as concrete pouring temperature, tunnel excavation speed), construction personnel information, and quality acceptance results to eliminate violations. In the operational phase of the project, data on dam deformation, seepage, and unit operating status are collected through sensors and recorded on the blockchain for safety monitoring and fault warning. After project completion, the blockchain data serves as the basis for quality traceability throughout the project's entire lifecycle. In 2024, the quality pass rate of this hydropower project reached 100%, and the construction period was shortened by 12%, effectively improving the level of construction management.
