Short term (2025-2026): probability < 5%. With a favorable outcome in the Ripple vs. SEC trial and the approval of a spot ETF in the U.S., XRP could triple its value while Ethereum would remain stagnant. However, this scenario is considered unlikely.
Medium term (2027-2029): probability 15-20%. This scenario would assume global regulatory clarity, the integration of XRP into cross-border payment pathways, and in central bank digital currency (CBDC) corridors. In that context, an XRP at $12 (capitalization of $700 billion) could narrow the gap with an ETH at $20,000 (capitalization of $2.4 trillion), although without surpassing it, unless Ethereum has a significantly lower performance.
Long term (after 2030): probability 25-30%. Here, Ripple's technology would become a pillar of global financial settlement systems, CBDC infrastructure, and tokenized asset transfers.
