Complete economic calendar of events from August 18 to 24 that could impact the crypto market.
The week promises to be calm regarding macro data. Monday and Tuesday are 'empty', the most interesting and important events will be on Thursday and Friday. Especially on Friday, when the head of the US Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, will speak in Jackson Hole. Attention to his words will be heightened, especially in light of the poor manufacturing inflation data on August 14 and, to a lesser extent, the negative forecasts from the University of Michigan on August 15.
Powell's speeches in Jackson Hole have already dumped the markets in the past, for example in 2023. Let's see what happens this time. The Fed faces the problem of rising inflation fueled by Trump's tariffs. Meanwhile, Trump himself demands a rate cut but lacks leverage to force the Fed to do so. Powell's speech on Friday will be indicative in this situation.
