BlockBeats reported that on August 19, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) postponed its decision on the application for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs from Trump Media & Technology Group's social platform Truth Social.

According to the documents submitted on Monday, the SEC has extended the approval deadline for the Truth Social ETF to October 8, which is a routine procedure for the agency to assess dozens of cryptocurrency ETF proposals.

Also postponed for approval on the same day were the CoinShares Litecoin ETF, CoinShares Ripple ETF, and 21Shares Ripple ETF, with decision deadlines all extended to late October. The SEC stated in the documents: "The Commission believes it is necessary to extend the review time in order to adequately assess the proposal's content and related issues."
