Risk-Off Sentiment
Despite a 5.5% drop in Bitcoin dominance and 40% growth in Ether — historically signals of risk rotation — altcoins still sold off. The OTHERS index (altcoins excluding top 10 by market cap) fell 18.7% in 10 days before rebounding slightly, showing a “rapid de-risking across high-beta segments.”
Mixed Outlook
Bitfinex said the market might enter a consolidation phase unless fresh macro catalysts or ETF inflows emerge. Some analysts, however, still see upside potential. Trader Merlijn noted, “Alts coiling for a violent breakout… when this spring releases, it’s game on.”
The CoinMarketCap Altcoin Season Index shifted from “Altcoin Season” (55/100) on July 21 to “Bitcoin Season” (40/100) as of Tuesday.

시장 상황
BTC는 8월 3일(현지시간) 112,044달러까지 하락한 뒤 현재 113,839달러 수준을 기록 중이다. 이 조정은 7월 14일 123,100달러 사상 최고가 달성 이후 불과 몇 주 만에 발생했다.
솔라나(SOL)는 7일간 9.45% 하락했고, 리플(XRP)은 5.48%, 도지코인(DOGE)은 10.8% 떨어졌다. 비트파이넥스는 보고서에서 “비트코인 조정이 오히려 알트코인 매수세 위축으로 이어졌다”며 “투기적 투자심리가 전반적으로 위축되고 있다”고 진단했다.
리스크 회피와 시장 구조 변화
지난 30일간 비트코인 도미넌스는 약 5.5% 하락했고 이더리움(ETH)은 40% 상승했다. 과거 같으면 알트코인 강세 신호로 해석될 수 있지만, 이번 하락은 오히려 알트코인 전반의 투매를 촉발했다. 비트파이넥스는 “OTHERS 지수(시가총액 상위 10개를 제외한 알트코인 시장 지표)가 10일 만에 18.7% 하락했다”며 “하이베타(고위험) 시장에서 빠른 디리스크(리스크 축소)가 진행되고 있다”고 밝혔다.

일부 분석가는 여전히 반등 가능성을 보고 있다. 트레이더 Merlijn은 “알트코인이 폭발적 상승을 앞두고 코일처럼 힘을 모으고 있다”고 주장했다. CMC 알트코인 시즌 지수는 7월 21일 55점으로 ‘알트코인 시즌’을 가리켰지만, 현재 40점으로 하락하며 ‘비트코인 시즌’ 신호를 보내고 있다.
