Scammers give channel administrators gifts with malicious links, which can lead to the blocking of channels by Roskomnadzor based on subscriber complaints. The Ministry of Internal Affairs advises regularly checking the gifts tab and deleting suspicious ones. The editorial notes that such gifts also come from dubious sources with pseudo-investments and fraudulent schemes, hoping that the links will be visible in the gift list. At the same time, Telegram founder Pavel Durov actively promotes the idea of gifts, including NFTs and cryptocurrency tokens, raising questions about the legality and safety of such new forms of communication and monetization within the messenger.
