Kirk West, 58, has been arrested in Tennessee for stealing over $11 million in cryptocurrency and $400K in cash from his partner, Nancy Jones — widow of country icon George Jones. 😳
West allegedly took 5.5 million units of XRP, stored on a Ledger wallet, and tried to flee before being caught at Nashville Airport. ✈️
Their relationship started in 2013, with Nancy reportedly supporting West financially — even covering his past bank fraud restitution. After gaining her trust, he convinced her to invest in crypto… and then disappeared with the funds. 🕵️♂️
Only part of the assets have been recovered. West now faces serious charges and will appear in court this October.
