PASCAL BOYART: THE ARTIST WHO HIDES BITCOIN IN HIS MURALS

Pascal Boyart, a renowned French street artist, has revolutionized the world of urban art by integrating blockchain technology into his works. In 2019, the artist hid $1000 in Bitcoin (at the time 0.26 BTC) in his mural, creating modern treasure hunts.

His most famous work, dedicated to the Yellow Vests, represents a reinterpretation of "Liberty Leading the People" by Delacroix. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the first Bitcoin block, Boyart painted a mural in Paris containing a cryptographic puzzle.

The private keys are hidden directly within the artwork: one part is integrated into the brushstrokes of the painting, while another is written with UV paint, visible only under black light. This innovative approach transforms street art into an interactive experience, where passersby can literally "mine" value from beauty.

Boyart has also integrated QR codes into his murals to receive donations in cryptocurrencies, challenging the traditional art market system and demonstrating how blockchain and art can creatively coexist.

Currently, there is no publicly available information confirming the recovery of the Bitcoin hidden in Pascal Boyart's mural.
