BINANCE PUMP CHALLENGE. FUN WITH NEW TGE PLATFORM
Binance has launched a new token generation event (TGE) mechanism that directly challenges Pump.fun, revolutionizing the landscape of cryptocurrency launches. The system uses a dynamic bonding curve to adjust token prices during the launch, allowing for real-time price discovery.
The new feature was launched on July 15 through Binance Wallet in collaboration with Four.Meme, using the same bonding curve model that made Pump.fun famous. Pump.fun, launched in January 2024, has handled over 11 million token creations generating more than 800 million dollars in fees.
Unlike the completely open model of Pump.fun, where anyone can create a token for free with over 10,000 tokens created daily, Binance takes a more selective approach. This strategic move positions the exchange as a direct competitor in the memecoin launch market, offering greater security and qualitative control compared to existing decentralized platforms.
