In light of the volatile regional security situation, the U.S. State Department has instructed U.S. citizens' family members and non-emergency personnel to evacuate from Lebanon.

Reuters reported that after U.S. bombers struck Iranian nuclear facilities, the U.S. State Department sent a letter on Sunday (June 22) urging U.S. citizens' family members and non-emergency government personnel to evacuate from Lebanon.

During last year's Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, the U.S. also ordered the evacuation of U.S. citizens' family members and non-emergency personnel from Lebanon, which was later rescinded.

After Israel launched a large-scale strike against Iran on June 13, the regional situation escalated sharply once again. The U.S. State Department has issued a 'Level 4: Do Not Travel' travel advisory for Lebanon.
