U.S. Secretary of Defense Heggsis stated that the military strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities achieved an incredible and overwhelming victory, destroying Tehran's nuclear ambitions.
Heggsis held a press briefing at the Pentagon with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Kane on Sunday (June 22) to introduce the U.S. military's earlier strikes against three nuclear facilities in Iran.
According to reports, the U.S. military launched 14 bunker buster bombs, over 20 Tomahawk missiles, and more than 125 military aircraft during the operation.
Heggsis said: "Iran's nuclear ambitions have been destroyed." He also emphasized that this airstrike was not aimed at the Iranian military or the Iranian people.
He indicated: "The operation orchestrated by President Trump was bold and outstanding, demonstrating to the world that America's deterrence has returned. When this president speaks, the whole world should listen."
