On June 3, 2025, information emerged in the cryptocurrency community that the OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP) meme coin team would release a cryptocurrency wallet in collaboration with the marketplace Magic Eden. This was confirmed by project co-founder Jack Lou, but denied by the sons of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Where did this information come from and what did Lou say?
Among the first to announce this was journalist Molly White, who published the relevant article in her blog. Following this, the information began to spread on X (formerly Twitter).
A few hours later, Lou commented on the situation. In his post, he stated the following:
With TRUMP Wallet, users will be able to not only trade major currencies like BTC/ETH/SOL/ADA/XRP/DOGE and, of course, TRUMP, but also discover new assets across different networks. This mobile application will operate as easily as a centralized exchange, yet will be completely self-sufficient. It will be designed not only for trading tokens – soon new interesting use cases will emerge.
He also announced the distribution of $1 million in TRUMP tokens among those who join the waiting list and bring friends to the platform. According to the official website, the application release is expected in the summer of 2025.
It seems that the company Slingshot Finance is also involved in the project. Magic Eden acquired it earlier in 2025.
Response from the sons of the U.S. President
Both Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump stated that they know nothing about the project. Apparently, The Trump Organization is not directly involved in the development of the cryptocurrency wallet. Trump Jr. also pointed out that a team from the World Liberty Financial platform is working on their application.
The uncertainty is compounded by the fact that the official TRUMP Wallet channel on X has been blocked. Meanwhile, announcements about the application from official TRUMP and Magic Eden channels, as well as Lou's statement, remain available for viewing.
White suggested that there has been a split between the Trump family and the team behind the meme coin. The TRUMP project is managed by Fight Fight Fight Fight LLC, led by Bill Zanker. At the same time, the firm CIC Digital, an affiliated entity of The Trump Organization, also holds a stake.
The U.S. President himself had not commented on the situation at the time of writing.
