After Resigning, Elon Musk Calls Trump's New Policy a Shameful Scandal
Elon Musk openly criticized the One Big Beautiful Bill Act tax and massive spending proposal championed by President Donald Trump, calling it a shameful scandal on platform X, Wednesday (04/06).
“I can't take it anymore, this Congressional budget bill is full of waste and interests. It's shameful for those who support it, you must know it's wrong,” Musk said.
Musk's criticism came after the U.S. House of Representatives passed this bill, which is now being discussed in the Senate and could potentially add up to $3.8 trillion to the national debt over the next decade.
One controversial point in this bill is the elimination of the $7,500 federal tax incentive for purchasing electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as the imposition of a new annual tax for owners of those vehicles.
This policy is seen as potentially hindering the growth of the electric vehicle industry in the U.S., including Musk's Tesla, which has heavily relied on incentives and zero-emission credits.
Musk has also threatened to encourage voters to remove Republican politicians who support the bill in the upcoming elections, despite previously being known as a major supporter of Trump. He stated that in November next year, all politicians who betray the American people will be fired.
