ETH opened the era of smart contracts, SOL ignited the high-performance track, will the next hundredfold public chain be $SUI?
In every bull market, a public chain takes off in the spotlight. In 2017, Ethereum soared from $8 to $800, a tenfold increase, not only because it was 'Bitcoin 2.0' but also because it pioneered a new era of smart contracts and DApps.
In 2021, Solana surged from $1 to $260 with extreme performance and low gas fees, becoming the star chain behind FTX, where DeFi and NFT ecosystems flourished, changing people's imagination about 'blockchain speed.'
So, who will belong to 2025?
My answer is: SUI.
This is not a casual call, but based on three key observations:
1. Paradigm shift in underlying technology: Move language + Object-oriented model
SUI is not simply chasing performance; rather, it redefines the security and execution efficiency of smart contracts through the resource-oriented Move language. Compared to EVM, SUI allows developers to build complex logic in a more structured and modular way. High throughput and low latency are results, not goals.
2. The ecological accumulation period is often the most underestimated phase
DeFi has taken shape, GameFi and NFTs are rapidly aggregating, and with the intensive support from the SUI ecological fund, along with core applications like Bluemove, Scallop, and Cetus landing, SUI is following a path similar to Solana's early days—except this time, the team arrived earlier, more systematically, and with greater foresight.
3. The Synergistic Explosion of Capital and Narrative
Behind SUI is Mysten Labs, a team founded by the former Facebook Diem team. They not only understand technology but also the path to landing 'enterprise-level products.' From multiple rounds of financing to top VC investments, SUI is waiting for a key moment to ignite the 'ecological flywheel.'
If ETH liberated on-chain developers and SOL liberated on-chain users, then SUI is likely the next public chain to truly liberate the 'on-chain experience.'
It is a rare existence in public chains that has both performance and design sense.
A bull market is not a chaotic celebration without logic; rather, it is a resonance between narrative and reality. SUI may very well be the underestimated relay runner for explosive growth.
