According to Decrypt, the American fast food chain Steak 'n Shake announced that it will support Bitcoin payments in all its stores across the United States starting May 16. This means that over 100 million customers of the chain will be able to use Bitcoin to purchase products such as burgers and milkshakes. Unlike other chains that only conduct small-scale pilot programs, this is a rare case of widespread cryptocurrency payment application in the fast food industry. The company had previously teased this initiative on social media in March of this year and garnered attention from several prominent figures, including former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
