Stripe, through its subsidiary Bridge, has partnered with Visa to implement Visa cards linked to stablecoins. This solution allows companies and individual entrepreneurs to use stablecoins for payments at any point of sale that accepts Visa, with automatic conversion to local currency.
In the first phase, the cards will be available in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Chile. Bridge takes on the management of conversion, ensuring fast and transparent transactions without the complexities of integration. The project is planned to expand to Europe, Africa, and Asia in the future, opening up additional opportunities for international business.
This is a strategic step in the development of digital payments, simplifying the use of cryptocurrency in commercial transactions, reducing transaction costs, and expanding access to global financial flows.
