Some Harsh Realities of University Life

It’s often observed that during the early years of university, many girls receive multiple proposals—some genuine, but most driven by temporary interest or insincerity. A large number of these individuals aren't serious; they just want to enjoy a phase, using sweet words and emotional tactics. Some even go to extremes, acting so committed that the girl begins to believe, “This guy is truly different.”

Freshers and emotionally inexperienced students are more likely to fall for such acts. If the guy is a good actor, even senior students can sometimes be misled.

Then comes a short but sweet phase, where everything seems perfect, and the girl feels lucky to have found someone special. Despite hearing stories of betrayal from others, she believes, "Ours is different."

But soon, reality kicks in. The guy loses interest, moves on to someone new, and leaves behind a heartbroken girl who once left her home to study with big dreams. She now loses interest in books, friends—even life feels colorless and meaningless.

Some of these guys return after a few months, trying to play the same game again. While some girls fall for it once more, others who’ve learned the lesson firmly walk away. Unfortunately, many keep carrying the pain even after marriage, questioning themselves for years.

The bottom line is:

As a guy, I say this with certainty—98 out of 100 boys aren't thinking about marriage; they're just looking to enjoy a temporary relationship under the disguise of love and commitment. It’s in your hands whether you want to respect yourself or allow someone else to use you.

May Allah protect the dignity of every sister and daughter.

May He keep them safe from evil eyes and bad company.

May He bless everyone with pure hearts and righteous life partners.

Ameen.
