Earlier this month, the Irkutsk region - a destination for Bitcoin mining - revealed the first comprehensive one-year ban on cryptocurrency mining in the southern part of the oblast.
This happened a few months after Moscow imposed a winter ban on cryptocurrency mining in 10 Russian regions and others under Russian control, a ban that will extend until 2031.
