I just spoke with a successful investor about this topic, and his insights were very enlightening:
- The so-called "局" (situation) is a dilemma inside, and a framework outside. Only by stepping out and maintaining a certain distance can you see that grid. What is the grid? It is the framework, the main thread of things. For major issues, you only need to look at the main framework; excessive details are obstacles to understanding the true nature.
- Only internal motivation can be generated, and only by going external can direction be established.
- The dollar's globalization 1.0 after eighty years officially ended. The fact that Americans elevated Trump to the White House twice in eight years indicates that the old game is no longer played by the U.S. If, in the face of such facts, one still fantasizes about returning to play the old game and relive past dreams, that is to be oblivious to the trends and stubborn.
- What matters is not how you think, nor who you think is right or wrong, but the facts.
- No matter how Trump thinks, the U.S. cannot return to isolation; thus, what follows can only be globalization 2.0.
- With the internet, AI, and crypto, regardless of Trump’s thoughts, globalization 2.0 can only be a new game.
- Focus on laying out the new game, and do not cling to the old game.
- The situation of the new game is still very chaotic, with many unresolved questions. Out of curiosity, people will pay more attention to these questions. However, when making decisions, one should focus on certain facts and trends. Most of the time, grasping certain trends is sufficient; there is no need to guess.
