Subsequently, the address quickly closed its positions, locking in a profit of 16 million USD in just one minute. Meanwhile, the price of XPL skyrocketed to 1.80 USD at one point.
Observations indicate that starting at 05:35, the address 0xb9c...6801e initiated millions of XPL long trades on Hyperliquid, directly consuming the entire order book and forcing the liquidation of all short positions (most of which were hedging orders with 1x leverage), thereby harvesting 16 million USD in one minute. The funds for this address primarily came from two sources: 4.99 million USDC transferred three hours ago from 0x5dE...c03c3, and 10.98 million USDT previously transferred via DeBridge cross-chain from 0xae0...97150.
The connection to Justin Sun is circulated because tracing the funding chain revealed that this address had previously transferred ETH to a wallet associated with Justin Sun five years ago, although there is a lack of concrete evidence to confirm it belongs to Justin Sun. Since 08.24, this address has gradually accumulated XPL long positions, but each transaction amount was small and dispersed, so it did not cause significant market fluctuations.
