Lately, there has been a lot of talk about the "staggering" prices of usdt in Venezuela. Therefore, I come to make 2 considerations and a logical conclusion: 1. The usdt is not a dollar, but an equivalent to it as a crypto asset. This has caused Venezuelans, given the scarcity of dollars in the country and the inflation of the local currency, to adopt it as a store of value currently. 2. Central bank rate, let us remember that the central bank rate is an artificial price of the currency that is not determined by real supply and demand, therefore it is a mistake to some extent to cling to that price. For these two reasons, the price of usdt and the dollar at the central bank rate cannot be compared as if they were the same currency or the same asset. In any case, usdt is an asset equivalent to the North American currency that serves as an alternative store of value concerning the national currency. #venezuela

Good morning friend, if you notice that gap it's because those ads you see first are promoted. And if you see the ones below that, the prices are much closer.

Hello, I don't understand why people in Venezuela complain about the value of USDT, if they don't like it or it's not favorable they can go to the banking institution of their choice and acquire all the $ they want.

The established value of many currencies found here is determined by supply and demand (this means that if many people want the same item, that item increases in value, and the opposite happens if that item has no interest for many people, it ceases to have value, this is called supply and demand; on the other hand, the value of $ from the BCV is simply defined by the fiction of the government of Venezuela.
