Trump's Iran gamble fraught with risk - at home and abroad Donald Trump, who returned to the White House promising peace, has instead thrust the U.S. into the heart of the Iran-Israel conflict. Rather than calming tensions, his leadership now sees the Middle East teetering on the edge of wider war. In a national address, Trump called the U.S. airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites a "spectacular success." He claimed the strikes could pave the way for lasting peace by halting Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Iran downplayed the attack, reporting only minor damage to its Fordo site—raising questions about the true impact. Flanked by key officials, Trump warned of future, harsher strikes if Iran doesn't stop its nuclear program. He emphasized the U.S. has "many targets left" and promised swift and skilled action. However, this escalation could trap the U.S. in a prolonged and dangerous conflict. The UN Secretary General warned the decision may trigger a "spiral of chaos" in the already volatile region. Iran’s Supreme Leader vowed retaliation, which could ignite a wider military confrontation. #binancenews #news
Israel says it killed Iran's military coordinator with Hamas Israel claims it has killed Saeed Izadi, a senior Iranian commander linked to Hamas's 7 October 2023 attack. The IDF says he was one of the key planners of the attack that killed about 1,200 Israelis. Izadi led the Palestine Corps of Iran’s Quds Force, managing ties with Hamas. He reportedly financed, armed, and coordinated with Hamas leaders. He had survived a previous Israeli strike in Damascus in April 2024. On the same day, Israel also killed Behnam Shahriyari, another Quds Force commander. Shahriyari helped transport weapons to Hamas and Hezbollah. These strikes mark a major blow to Iran’s Quds Force if confirmed. Iran hasn't officially acknowledged the deaths yet. The conflict between Iran and Israel has now entered its ninth day. #IsraelIranConflict #BinanceNews #CryptoAndWar
