According to Google Trends, the search volume for the keyword "altcoins" globally has surged in the past 2 weeks, reaching an all-time high.

This afternoon, the token $OKB from the OKX exchange skyrocketed nearly 200% in just 1 hour, from $46 to $135, (market cap increased from $2.7B to $8B).

The surge comes from a series of major upgrades for the X Layer network recently announced:
- The $OKT token of OKTChain will be automatically swapped for $OKB. OKX will stop supporting OKTChain starting from 1/1/2026.
- OKX will burn more than 65M $OKB from past buybacks on 15/8. After that, the total supply of OKB will be permanently fixed at 21 million tokens.

Additionally, BTC.D has decreased by 3.98% in the past week to 59.32%. Meanwhile, the market cap of Altcoins (TOTAL2) has increased by 16.18%. $ETH is about ~5% from its peak, $SOL and the memecoin ecosystem are also stirring...
