**Stablecoin EUR Soars: Volume Surpasses USD Since Q4 2024.**
This chart shows the monthly percentage change in the trading volume of EUR-denominated stablecoins compared to USD-denominated stablecoins since the beginning of 2024, highlighting the dynamics in the usage of Euro (EUR) and Dollar (USD)-pegged stablecoins.
From January to March 2024, there was a significant surge in EUR stablecoin volume, exceeding 200% in March, while USD stablecoins saw only a moderate increase of under 100%. After that, both experienced a decline but stabilized throughout mid-year.
In early 2025, it was observed that EUR volume maintained a higher trend compared to 2024, indicating growing demand.
Currently, regional alternatives outside of USDT and USDC are emerging.
