I have been trading cryptocurrencies for eight years and have accumulated a profit of 50 million. Today, I will share with you ten experiences I have summarized from my journey, including the pitfalls I've encountered, the positions I've blown, and the losses I've suffered, until achieving financial freedom.
1. If your capital is not large (for example, within 200,000), don't always think about operating at full position. As long as you catch one main upward wave in a year, it's enough. Before the market comes, patience is your strongest weapon.
2. People can never earn money beyond their understanding. Before trading with real money, practice your mindset and courage with a simulated account. A simulated account allows you to fail an unlimited number of times, but in a real account, one major mistake could lead to being forced out.
3. Remember: good news hitting the market is bad news. If significant good news is not released on the day it occurs, and the next day opens high, it's advisable to sell promptly; otherwise, it’s easy to be trapped.
4. Be vigilant during holidays. History has repeatedly proven that reducing positions or even going to cash before holidays is a wise move; "holidays must drop" is not just a saying.
5. The essence of medium- to long-term trading is to retain enough cash, sell high and buy low, and operate in a rolling manner. Don’t always think about eating all at once; that’s a game for the big players, not a dream for retail investors.
6. For short-term trading, only choose cryptocurrencies with active trading volume and significant price fluctuations. Don't touch the inactive ones; they waste your time and wear down your mindset.
7. If the market is slowly declining, rebounds will be very frustrating; but if the decline accelerates, rebounds often come faster. It's important to catch the rhythm.
8. If you buy wrong, you must admit it and cut losses immediately. As long as the principal is still there, opportunities will always exist—this is the foundation of survival.
9. If you're doing short-term trading, definitely look at the 15-minute candlestick chart more often, combined with the KDJ indicator, which can help you find many golden buy and sell points.
10. The techniques for trading cryptocurrencies are countless; you don't need to master them all. Mastering one or two methods is enough; the key is to practice them to perfection.
Each of these ten points is a lesson I paid for with real money. Avoiding detours is, in itself, a way to make money.
