Fundamentals only. Human-written only. Shilling my own bags. (I wouldn't shill anything that I wouldn't hold myself.) Mostly Hedera and HBAR related content.
Chuck Wood is back to cheer you up in dire times! You're never without fun if you invest in FUNdamentals. And, you know, the Planck constant is fundamental for quantum physics as it describes the basic factor for any amount of energy. $HBAR is the symbol for the (reduced) Planck constant.
I really don't see any reason why there should be any other L1 than Hedera. It's fast, fair, scalable, cheap, well-governed and secure (and you can actually change all these adjectives to their corresponding superlatives). $HBAR
Do you think that trading is difficult? Are you new to crypto? Now let me tell you one secret that took me five minutes to learn: buy $HBAR . That's it. Don't do anything else. Only sell when you've reached your financial goals. No need to check charts or to follow the news. No need to trade either. Just buy and maybe DCA down if possible. That's the only secret of crypto. Everything else is mindless gambling.
Okay, Donnie, you did the tariffs. Now do the zero capital gains tax on $HBAR , $XRP and all the other US-based cryptos. Everything will be forgiven (at least from us holders ☺️).
I'm really not sure what to think of the collaboration of Hedera/$HBAR and $ICP . I guess it should be good, but I can hardly see what's being built here. Everything seems to be quite vague still.
We're all cheering about the current $HBAR price action. But remember:
Hedera is still in beta, the Governing Council is not full yet, use cases have not yet begun to produce significant transactions, critical infrastructure has not yet started to be adapted for DLT, no HBAR ETF has yet been approved, the masses have not yet discovered HBAR, Hedera is not yet permissionless, media coverage is still rather negligible, DeFi on Hedera is still in its infancy, many use cases are still being built ...
Hedera's fundamentals are and will remain superior to everything else. But what really will drive price action has not even started. What we're seeing now is a mere glimpse of what is about to come in probably just a very few years.
"HBAR" (ℏ) in physics denotes the reduced Planck constant. This constant is commonly used in quantum mechanics as you can calculate the energy of a photon with the help of this physical constant. Basically, it connects "energy" and "frequency" of light, its wave-properties and its particle-properties.
The discovery of this constant laid the foundation for modern physics and was crucial for the later discoveries of Einstein and Heisenberg. There would be no lasers nor quantum computers without ℏ. I strongly recommend to go down this fascinating rabbit hole. It's intellectually challenging, but highly rewarding.
Now, why would someone call a crypto token $HBAR ? I haven't asked Leemon Baird, the inventor of Hedera Hashgraph, so I have to guess a bit. But after having dived deep into the matter, I recognize that the invention/discovery of the hashgraph has the same transformative power for distributed ledger technologies (DLT) and decentralized consensus mechanisms like the discovery of the Planck constant had for physics. Also, the Planck constant is really cool, so why wouldn't you name a crypto token after it?
But what do I know? I'm just a nerdy woodchuck. – Chuck Wood
I know that I probably sound like a delusional moon boy, but I do believe that a price of $10 per $HBAR is not impossible in a few years.
Far crazier things have happened in crypto. If you take a close look at what Hedera is building, this seemingly absurdly high number becomes more and more realistic.
What Hedera has to offer is unique as it sets a new technological standard for blockchains and DLT. Slowly the world is starting to realize the value of a ledger being aBFT, blazingly fast, infinitely scalable and having fixed (and extremely low) network fees.
