CRYPTO EXCHANGE AND THE MONKEY STORY
"Once upon a time, a man came to a village and said he would buy monkeys for 10 dollars each. Since there were many monkeys in the village, the villagers joyfully ran to the forest and started catching monkeys. As the man bought thousands of monkeys for 10 dollars each, the number of monkeys around decreased, making it harder to catch them.
Just when the villagers were about to give up catching monkeys, the man announced that he would pay 20 dollars for each monkey. The villagers, renewed with enthusiasm, started catching monkeys again.
As the number of monkeys decreased, the man raised the price and announced that he would pay 25 dollars for each monkey this time. But alas, it had become very difficult to even find a monkey.
On top of this, he said he had raised the price to 50 dollars, but he had to go to the city because he had a business to attend to, and his assistant would make the purchases in his place. The price was 50 dollars, but there were no monkeys around; the villagers were in despair. The assistant made a proposal to the villagers:
"You know those monkeys we collected in the big cage while the boss is away? I’ll sell all of them to you for 35 dollars each, and when the boss returns, you can sell them to him for 50 dollars; in return for my kindness, I will take 1 dollar from you for each monkey."
The villagers, with great joy, pooled all their savings and bought all the monkeys at 35 dollars each. And they started waiting, hoping to sell the monkeys to the returning boss for 50 dollars and become rich... So what happened next? Of course, neither the man nor his assistant was ever seen around there again..."
