Jeremy Booth's Over the Ridge sold at Christie's online auction
Western pop artist Jeremy Booth is in the spotlight at Christie’s for a new sale and exhibition, with the physical painting, which depicts a lively scene of cowboys herding cattle in Booth’s signature bold style, sold on June 11 for $20,160 and comes with a digital certificate of authenticity.
Using strong contrasting colours and clean lines, Booth’s work has a minimalist style that recalls his origins as a medieval-inspired graphic artist.
Booth's last auction at Christie's was in December 2023, when his unique NFT "Bossin' Cattle" was successfully auctioned at Christie's 3.0 event "The Next Wave: Miami Edition".
McDonald's announces creation of its own metaverse
McDonald’s Singapore has entered the metaverse through My Happy Place, a virtual world where Grimace NFT holders can enjoy VIP privileges.
The fast-food giant's project includes interactive experiences, games and exclusive digital content, and according to a press release, holders will be able to unlock in-game wearables and explore secret islands in the Metaverse world.

Illuvium announces public beta release date

Digital art gallery Co-Museum has just launched a 24K gold-plated skateboard created by famous anime NFT brand Azuki and signed by legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk.
The collectible, called “Artifact 001: Golden Skateboard,” uses the open-source Physically-Backed Token (PBT) standard to merge digital and physical items.
The launch also features a collaboration with designer YOON, who has worked with big-name brands like Nike and Dior, and will reportedly include special apparel and jewelry tied to the gold skateboards.
