Weekly Highlights
Optimization and upgrade of TEE Worker to fix idle space proof verification failures and improve program exit and termination mechanisms to prevent resource waste.
Optimization of storage node’s user data storage process, fixing issues with some nodes not reporting storage status in time, reducing the time for user data to be stored persistently.
Fixes for DeOSS, including refreshing the list of available storage nodes and issues with node operation due to incomplete block data synchronization.
CESS was honored to partner with Stability World AI.
CESS celebrates the launch of live trading for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in Hong Kong, a major step towards digital asset adoption.
Project Development Details
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.6]
Fixed TEE Worker’s idle space proof verification failure due to inconsistent algorithm library versions.
Fixed nodeadm program’s inability to accurately identify non-integer disk space sizes.
Optimized nodeadm program’s handling of unstaking commands, adding node exit status and operational advice prompts.
Optimized TEE Worker registration and cleanup mechanisms to prevent delays in providing effective services after program restarts.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.10]
Optimized storage node status display command, adding reminders for the causes and operational suggestions when nodes are frozen.
Fixed issues with some storage nodes not promptly reporting user data storage status to the CESS chain.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Fixed the issue where DeOSS could not add newly discovered storage nodes to the list of available node resources.
Fixed the issue where DeOSS could not query on-chain data due to incomplete CESS chain block synchronization.
Improved interface usage reminders and readme documentation for DeOSS and go-sdk code libraries.
CESS Website (cess.cloud)
Completed the development of the backend service module for the new version of the DAO cloud mining activity points mechanism.
Testnet
Overview:
95 days after the v0.7.6 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
31 consensus nodes
10,628 storage nodes
19.50 PiB verified storage space
34.70 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.
Community Activities
CESS announced partnerships with Stability World AI, a next-gen Generative AI platform for content creation that empowers users to generate stunning images, videos, and more. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our journey to revolutionize the #Web3 data economy.
CESS celebrates the launch of live trading for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in Hong Kong, a major step towards digital asset adoption. Excited about how these advances can integrate blockchain into global finance, CESS is committed to using its Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS) to drive large-scale crypto tech applications in the industry!
