1. 🎭 Scammers impersonate Binance Support in the P2P order chat box or reach out to merchants via off-platform messaging apps and pose as Binance Support. They trick sellers into believing that payment from the buyer is pending until the seller releases the crypto. Spoiler alert: This is a SCAM!
2. 🚫Remember, Binance Support will NEVER chat with you in the P2P order chat box; This is for buyer-seller communication only!
3. 💸 Payments for P2P orders occur offline; This means Binance does not monitor the buyer's payment. Always double-check that you have received the funds in your bank account or payment channel before releasing your crypto.
4. 🙅♀️ Do not blindly trust SMS or email payment notifications; Verify the sender rigorously. Scammers may spoof these notifications to scam you!
5. ⛔ Be extra careful if someone wants to chat outside the platform. This is a trick to evade our watchful eyes and manipulate you. Always stick to the P2P order chat box.
