The direction is right, but why is the wallet always empty?
Recently, a brother called me late at night, feeling like he was about to explode:
"Bro, I'm about to break down! I can predict the market accurately, but why isn’t my account growing?" I looked through his trading records—no issues.
He got his long positions right better than anyone, and his short positions were also well-timed.
Unfortunately, the profitable trades were always closed too quickly; losing trades, however, were held onto stubbornly.
The result is: forever watching others speed ahead, while I can only eat the leftovers.
I told him directly: "You don't lack the ability to read the market; you just haven't mastered the rhythm."
So we started practicing:
How to distinguish between sideways and main uptrends;
How to increase positions on profitable trades and how to protect profits;
When to take a break and when to go all in.
Three weeks later, he sent me a screenshot of his earnings:
During a big market movement, he managed to hold on for three days, closing with a net profit of 6200U.
At that moment, he finally understood: turning things around doesn’t rely on luck, but on rhythm.
So, the worst isn’t misjudging the direction, but knowing the direction is right and still getting washed out in the end, working hard for nothing.
