At 24, I didn't understand anything about money. I thought that just reading books to absorb the mindset of wealth, improving soft skills, starting a business, doing a hot job that brings high income, and chasing profits... would earn me a lot of money. But the result was all wrong.
Today, I sat with a young friend born in 2001 who already has knowledge that I only grasped by the age of 35 and had an awakening. Indeed, the younger generation is impressive. Today, I would like to share your story.
You came from a not-so-rich family and have been working since you were 16 (I don't quite remember this), even having worked as a construction worker, which was very hard.
Then you developed a love for exploring nature, enjoying volunteer work at temples, gathering friends to pick up trash on the beach. You fell in love with the profession of being a travel tour guide for experiential exploration.
The good relationships formed from volunteer work and beach cleanups continually brought you knowledge, broadened your intellect, relationships, and even job opportunities. Everyone loves and trusts you.
After 3 years of working with passion, in the recent year, you said that leading tours has brought you good income and expanded your business into homestay accommodation. Customers are fully booked, and those who come to your place all have unique characteristics and are incredibly endearing, without needing to raise your voice or exhaust yourself serving.
You are continuing to rent a larger piece of land to open a homestay combined with a restaurant to serve the local needs that are still lacking. Not rushing to set sales targets or make money, you give yourself half a year to prepare by sourcing safe, local dishes that are served attentively but not too expensively. You seek to train other young people to understand corporate culture and aim for long-term sustainable development.
