Wyoming has launched the first state-backed stablecoin in the USA
The state of Wyoming has introduced the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) — the first official stablecoin in the country. The asset is backed by the dollar and short-term government bonds with an additional reserve of 2%.
FRNT has already been integrated into seven blockchains: Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Polygon, Optimism, and Base.
Currently, the token is not available for mass purchases: the sales launch will occur after the completion of regulatory checks. Initial transactions will be possible through Kraken (Solana) and Visa Rain (Avalanche).
