Wyoming Launches Frontier Stablecoin FRNT, Becoming the First State in the U.S. to Issue a Stablecoin
Wyoming has launched the Frontier stablecoin (FRNT), backed by the U.S. dollar and short-term government bonds, becoming the first state in the U.S. to issue a stablecoin. FRNT is currently available on a total of 7 blockchains: Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Polygon, Optimism, and Base. Due to regulatory restrictions, this token is not yet open to the public. The Executive Director of the Wyoming Stable Token Committee stated that a detailed discussion on this matter will take place later today.
