Ethereum anticipates improvements from its major update in 2026
Glamsterdam is the update that would arrive in 2026 for Ethereum, following the implementation of Fusaka at the end of this year.
The improvements EIP-7732 and EIP-7928 will be part of Glamsterdam.
There are still stability issues to resolve before welcoming Fusaka
As the Ethereum community prepares for the imminent update of Fusaka, the focus has already shifted to the next major enhancement: Glamsterdam. This update promises profound changes with two proposals that are capturing the attention of developers. The direct benefit for users is greater resistance to censorship and a more decentralized network. Currently, Ethereum nodes ($ETH ) validate transactions in a block sequentially, one by one. This limits the speed at which blocks can be processed. The main goal of EIP-7928 is to allow parallel execution of transactions, which would significantly improve the speed and efficiency of the network. For users, this translates to faster and potentially cheaper transactions.
