In the previous articles and replies, I mentioned that I am more optimistic about the upcoming meme sector coins, even though the meme sector is not performing well at the moment. But remember, three months ago, the market was mocking ETH holders as e-guards. Once the bull market arrives and sentiment turns, meme coins will still be highly likely to rise and will easily become a vent for market sentiment.
How to choose meme coins? Here, I once again recommend two meme coins: one is Pepe and the other is Popcat.
Pepe is a meme image coin that has grown during this bull market. From the moment it appeared, it attracted the attention of the entire market, even directly stirring up the entire cryptocurrency market, making the gradually desperate market make a 360-degree turn, and everyone began to chase popular altcoins, especially meme coins, with on-chain trading beginning to heat up. It all started with the emergence of Pepe. Even Musk tweeted recommendations at that time, and later when Musk served as the head of the government efficiency department, a picture of Pepe was hung behind his desk; this kind of treatment is, apart from Doge in the past, unique to Pepe.
In addition, Pepe has advantages that Doge does not have:
1. Pepe has not only been recommended by Musk, but also by President Trump multiple times. Not only did he tweet with Pepe images, but the pedestrians in the promotional posters were also replaced with Pepe, indicating that Trump also has some fondness for Pepe. This kind of treatment is something even Doge does not have.
2. The total supply of Doge is unlimited, maintaining inflation, with continuous issuance on the chain. In contrast, Pepe has a fixed total supply.
3. Currently, Pepe's market cap is only one-ninth of Doge, leaving more room for growth. Back in the bull market, Shiba Inu's market cap once approached that of Doge, so if Pepe is slightly promoted by Musk or Trump, combined with market sentiment, it may perform very well.
All the reasons and advantages mentioned above ensure that Pepe will definitely be the leader of meme coins in this bull market, and even a barometer of meme coin popularity.
The other recommendation is Popcat.
Recommendation reason: 1. I have previously analyzed SOL in my earlier articles. Once the bull market kicks in, the meme coin craze is likely to appear on the SOL chain.
2. A very simple logic: Dogecoin is the origin of meme coins. Meme coins are actually a cultural asset of meme images in the virtual world; they are a form of quirky culture. And do you know which meme images have the highest application worldwide? It’s cat meme images, not dogs. However, in the cryptocurrency market, cat memes hardly have any popularity, which makes me want to gamble on a possibility. That is to ambush a potentially explosive cat meme coin. Perhaps people will easily compare its leading market cap to Doge, which would create significant space; the crypto market needs imagination, and memes need it even more.
3. Although Popcat has futures contracts on Binance and OKEx, it has not yet launched on the spot market, and its market cap is not high. If it explodes and goes live on the spot market, the potential for growth will be very large.
4. The number of holding addresses is large and the chips are dispersed. I looked at the on-chain holding distribution of Popcat, and it currently shows a very healthy distribution, with holdings very dispersed, which will make it easier for the price to rise. Of course, this might also lead to a situation where there is no major player controlling it, resulting in sitting on the sidelines during market movements.
Therefore, based on these four points, I am willing to allocate one-tenth of my position to bet on a meme coin with the highest market cap and a certain level of community enthusiasm, which has considerable usage of meme images. Ultimately, I will focus on: Popcat.
Of course, this is a completely speculative idea, so remember, do not over-invest; take a small portion of your money to gamble on this possibility.
So in summary, my holding strategy for meme coins has emerged. For example, if you plan to invest one-third of your money in meme coins, then this portion can be further divided into three parts for holding:
Plan A: Conservative type, 40% Doge, 40% Pepe, 20% Popcat.
Plan B: Aggressive type, 60% Pepe, 40% Popcat.
Of course, both of the above should be ways you are willing to invest in meme sector money; not all money should be used to hold meme coins.
Especially Popcat; I can confidently say that Pepe will definitely surge during a bull market, but Popcat may not, as it is purely a gamble on a dream. Therefore, holding positions should be cautious.
