Bitlayer (BTR) is a Layer 2 solution for the core Bitcoin ecosystem, designed to leverage BitVM technology to provide Bitcoin with capabilities for smart contracts and DeFi, while inheriting its security. The project has completed a $25 million financing round (including participation from Franklin Templeton, Polychain Capital, and others).

Its token BTR will be publicly offered from July 31 to August 7, 2025 (with an expected public offering price of approximately $0.2), and has received 30 million BTR (3% of total supply) DeFi incentives from Binance. Future plans include building an ecosystem on Bitcoin for DeFi (lending, DEX), NFTs, gaming, cross-chain bridges, and exploring AI and RWA (real-world assets), with huge potential, aiming to become the leader in Bitcoin L2.
