7/30, SatLayer Foundation released SLAY tokenomics, simply discussing the competition for airdrops from the data.
SLAY Tokenomics
Community: 10%
Foundation: 10%
Early Supporters: 15%
Early Contributors: 20%
Ecosystem: 45%
According to the introduction, 10% of community tokens are fully circulated at the opening for SlayDrop and TGE activities, which is likely the share of airdrops + exchange listings.
The 45% of tokens for the ecosystem seem to include airdrop rewards for future staking activities, and also cover official investments in the ecosystem.
Currently, it seems that the team + institutions, roughly 10% + 15% + 20% = 45%, of which the early supporters 15% and early contributors 20% begin to unlock after one year.

Analyzing the Competition for Airdrop Allocation from Data
Through Dune Analytics organized by EtheneLabs, it can be found that SatLayer has seen a large number of new staking users since mid-June, possibly related to the exchange staking activity launched by SatLayer on 6/19.
6/16: Number of staking users is 79,708
7/14: Number of staking users is 399,336
In less than 30 days, the number of staking user addresses increased by 500%.

In addition, in order to avoid TVL data being affected by currency price fluctuations and affecting our judgment, we will use BTC TVL to observe the data again.
6/16: Total Staked BTC is 2918
7/14: Total Staked BTC is 3420
Total staked BTC increased by 502, BTC TVL increased by 17%. (The current total staked BTC continues to rise to 3616)

From the two data points, it can be found that although the number of new staking users has increased significantly, the average amount of BTC staked is a small share, approximately 0.0015 BTC.
Since SatLayer's airdrop points are accumulated daily, if the staking amount of old users is significantly more than the aforementioned amount, the airdrop points are still far better than most new staking users.
Summary
SatLayer's airdrop date should not be far away, but based on the fact that it currently has a Kaito event that ends on 8/8, the fastest time to issue coins is estimated to be after the end of August. If you have idle Bitcoin on hand, it is still recommended to bet on an airdrop income.
I am using Lombard's LBTC to re-stake to SatLayer, earning airdrop points from both protocols at the same time. If you are interested, you can read the introduction article I posted before.
