Strategy announced the completion of a massive initial public offering of $2.521 billion for its Class A perpetual preferred shares (STRC), using the proceeds directly to acquire 21,021 Bitcoin, at an average price of $117,256 per Bitcoin, raising its total holdings to 628,791 Bitcoin as of July 29, at a total cost of approximately $46.8 billion (at an average of $73,227 per Bitcoin).

According to data from Bitcoin treasury bonds, Strategy's holdings account for about 62.3% of the total Bitcoin held by publicly traded companies, reinforcing its position as the largest listed company owning Bitcoin.

Trading of STRC shares on Nasdaq will begin on July 30, at an issuance price of $90 per share, with a total of 28,011,111 shares.

This offering is the largest IPO in the United States in 2025 so far, and the widest issuance of listed perpetual preferred stocks since 2009.

STRC represents the first perpetual preferred stock in the US market issued by a company that relies on Bitcoin in its treasury, providing monthly dividends determined by the board of directors, enhancing the currency's appeal to investors interested in short-term regular returns.

Strategy considered this offering a significant financial achievement, with net proceeds of approximately $2.474 billion after underwriting expenses, enabling it to finance the recent acquisition of Bitcoin without resorting to debt.

STRC is the fourth offering by Strategy this year, as part of an accelerated strategy to develop investment tools with clear returns backed by Bitcoin reserves.
