$BNB (Build and Build), formerly known as Binance Coin, is the native token of the Binance ecosystem. Launched in 2017, it was originally an ERC-20 token on Ethereum but later migrated to its own blockchain, the BNB Chain (which includes BNB Smart Chain and BNB Beacon Chain).

Its uses are varied: it allows for discounted trading fees on the Binance exchange, serves as "gas" for transactions and smart contracts on BNB Smart Chain, grants governance rights to its holders, and is used for payments, travel, and other applications within the Web3 ecosystem. Binance periodically conducts "burns" of BNB, reducing its total supply to increase its value.
