$BNB The BNB Chain team published a roadmap for the second half of 2025.
An increase in the gas limit per block to 1G is planned.
Also, in 2026 a new architecture with instant transactions and privacy by default will appear.
The BNB Chain team announced a major upgrade scheduled for the second half of 2025. Developers are preparing the network to support up to 5,000 swaps on decentralized exchanges (DEX) per second, increasing the gas limit per block to 1G (10 times).
The message also states that BNB Chain aims to support 10-20 times higher throughput. To achieve this, a new client written in Rust has been developed, based on Ethereum Reth, which 'significantly improves memory handling and provides high performance.'
Additionally, in 2025, Super Instructions will be implemented — combined standard operations to speed up complex transactions, including swaps on DEX and token launches.
Particular attention is paid to StateDB — a cache that combines EVM and storage in BSC. Since about 30% of contract execution time is spent on state access, optimizing StateDB will significantly accelerate data processing, the message states.
The team is also preparing a complete overhaul of the infrastructure. Key changes include:
transaction confirmations in less than 150 ms;
processing over 20,000 TPS for DeFi;
privacy at the protocol level.
Earlier we reported that BNB Chain accelerated block processing to 0.8 seconds thanks to the Maxwell hard fork.
The message stated that BNB Chain announced plans to increase the gas limit by 10 times, first appeared on INCRYPTED.
