Although three crypto bills (GENIUS, CLARITY, Anti-CBDC) have passed through the US House of Representatives, analysis from Barron’s and Kiplinger emphasizes that this is just the beginning of a long process:
The GENIUS Act, which establishes a 1:1 reserve for stablecoins, is entering the implementation regulation phase – it will take up to 1 year for technical rules and 3 years before non-compliant entities can be banned—"start of the process, not the finish line".
The CLARITY Act, which divides the authority of the SEC & CFTC, is still in the Senate and may be passed in September.
