#美国国债 Basic Concepts of U.S. Treasury Bonds

U.S. Treasury Securities are bonds issued by the U.S. government to raise funds and are considered one of the safest investment instruments in the world. Treasury securities are divided into short-term Treasury bills (T-Bills), medium-term notes (T-Notes), and long-term bonds (T-Bonds), with maturities ranging from a few days to 30 years. Due to the credit backing of the U.S. government, the yields on Treasury securities are usually low, but they offer high liquidity. Global investors, including central banks, institutions, and individuals, generally regard U.S. Treasury securities as a safe-haven asset. However, as the scale of U.S. debt continues to grow (currently exceeding $34 trillion), its long-term sustainability has sparked widespread discussion.
